संघ लोक सेवा आयोग यानी UPSC ने Engineering Services Examination (ESE) 2027 के लिए आधिकारिक अधिसूचना जारी कर दी है। इंजीनियरिंग क्षेत्र से संबंधित उम्मीदवारों के लिए यह एक महत्वपूर्ण केंद्रीय सरकारी भर्ती परीक्षा है। इस परीक्षा के माध्यम से विभिन्न केंद्रीय सरकारी विभागों और सेवाओं में इंजीनियरिंग से जुड़े पदों पर नियुक्ति की जाती है।
UPSC की आधिकारिक अधिसूचना के अनुसार Engineering Services (Preliminary) Examination 2027 के लिए आवेदन प्रक्रिया 16 सितंबर 2026 से शुरू हो चुकी है। इच्छुक और पात्र उम्मीदवार 6 अक्टूबर 2026 शाम 6 बजे तक ऑनलाइन आवेदन कर सकते हैं। प्रारंभिक परीक्षा का आयोजन 31 जनवरी 2027 को किया जाएगा, जबकि Engineering Services Main Examination 2027 की निर्धारित तारीख 18 जून 2027 है।
इस भर्ती के माध्यम से लगभग 480 रिक्तियों को भरे जाने की उम्मीद है। आयोग ने स्पष्ट किया है कि रिक्तियों की संख्या आवश्यकता के अनुसार बदली जा सकती है। इनमें Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) के लिए 19 पद शामिल हैं।

UPSC Engineering Services Examination एक राष्ट्रीय स्तर की प्रतियोगी परीक्षा है। इसके माध्यम से इंजीनियरिंग क्षेत्र में योग्य उम्मीदवारों को विभिन्न केंद्रीय सरकारी सेवाओं और पदों के लिए चुना जाता है।
यह परीक्षा मुख्य रूप से चार इंजीनियरिंग disciplines के उम्मीदवारों के लिए आयोजित की जाती है:

UPSC ने आवेदन की अंतिम तारीख 6 अक्टूबर 2026 शाम 6 बजे निर्धारित की है। अंतिम समय का इंतजार करने के बजाय उम्मीदवारों को आवेदन प्रक्रिया पहले पूरी कर लेनी चाहिए।
UPSC ESE 2027 Vacancy Details
UPSC की अधिसूचना के अनुसार Engineering Services Examination 2027 के माध्यम से लगभग 480 पदों पर भर्ती होने की संभावना है। आयोग ने यह भी बताया है कि रिक्तियों की संख्या बाद में बदली जा सकती है।
भर्ती को मुख्य रूप से चार engineering categories में बांटा गया है:
1. Civil Engineering
Civil Engineering category में Central Engineering Service, Central Engineering Service (Roads), Survey of India, Border Roads Engineering Service, Central Water Engineering Service, Indian Skill Development Service और Indian Railway Management Service जैसे पद/सेवाएं शामिल हैं।
2. Mechanical Engineering
Mechanical Engineering के अंतर्गत Indian Naval Material Management Service, Defence Aeronautical Quality Assurance Service, Border Roads Engineering Service, Indian Skill Development Service, Indian Railway Management Service और Central Power Engineering Service सहित कई सेवाएं शामिल हैं।
3. Electrical Engineering
Electrical Engineering category में Central Electrical & Mechanical Engineering Service, Central Power Engineering Service, Indian Naval Material Management Service, Defence Aeronautical Quality Assurance Service, Indian Skill Development Service तथा Indian Railway Management Service जैसी सेवाएं शामिल हैं।
4. Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering
इस category में Indian Radio Regulatory Service, Indian Telecommunications Service, Indian Naval Material Management Service, Indian Naval Armament Service, Junior Telecom Officer और Indian Railway Management Service (Signal & Telecommunication) जैसे पद शामिल हैं।
UPSC ESE 2027 Eligibility Criteria
UPSC Engineering Services Examination में आवेदन करने से पहले उम्मीदवारों को अपनी eligibility जरूर जांचनी चाहिए।
Educational Qualification
उम्मीदवार के पास किसी मान्यता प्राप्त विश्वविद्यालय या संस्थान से Engineering की degree होनी चाहिए।
आधिकारिक notification के अनुसार Engineering degree किसी ऐसे विश्वविद्यालय से होनी चाहिए जो भारत में केंद्रीय या राज्य विधानमंडल के अधिनियम के तहत स्थापित हो अथवा संसद के अधिनियम के तहत स्थापित संस्थान से हो। कुछ मान्यता प्राप्त समकक्ष qualifications को भी नियमों के अनुसार स्वीकार किया गया है।
उम्मीदवारों को अपनी engineering discipline के अनुसार संबंधित विषय में qualification पूरी करनी चाहिए।

UPSC ESE 2027 Age Limit
Engineering Services Examination 2027 के लिए उम्मीदवार की आयु 1 जनवरी 2027 को कम से कम 21 वर्ष और अधिकतम 30 वर्ष होनी चाहिए।
इसका अर्थ है कि उम्मीदवार का जन्म:
2 जनवरी 1997 से पहले नहीं और 1 जनवरी 2006 के बाद नहीं होना चाहिए।
कुछ निर्धारित categories और परिस्थितियों में सरकारी नियमों के अनुसार upper age limit में relaxation दिया जाता है। उदाहरण के लिए SC/ST उम्मीदवारों के लिए अधिकतम 5 वर्ष और eligible OBC candidates के लिए अधिकतम 3 वर्ष की relaxation का प्रावधान है। PwBD candidates के लिए निर्धारित नियमों के अनुसार अधिकतम 10 वर्ष तक की relaxation हो सकती है।
उम्मीदवारों को केवल अपनी category देखकर age relaxation मान लेने के बजाय आधिकारिक notification में दिए गए सभी नियमों को ध्यान से पढ़ना चाहिए।
UPSC ESE 2027 Application Fee
इस परीक्षा के लिए सामान्यतः ₹200 आवेदन शुल्क निर्धारित किया गया है।
हालांकि महिला उम्मीदवारों तथा SC, ST और PwBD categories के उम्मीदवारों को निर्धारित नियमों के अनुसार fee exemption दी गई है।
OBC और EWS candidates के लिए fee exemption उपलब्ध नहीं है और उन्हें निर्धारित शुल्क का भुगतान करना होगा।
Fee का भुगतान निर्धारित online payment modes जैसे Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card या UPI के माध्यम से किया जा सकता है।
UPSC ESE 2027 Selection Process
Engineering Services Examination की selection process तीन stages में होती है।
Stage 1 – Preliminary Examination
यह objective type examination होता है। इसमें दो papers होते हैं और कुल 500 marks होते हैं।
Paper I
General Studies and Engineering Aptitude
समय: 2 घंटे
अंक: 200
Paper II
Engineering Discipline Specific Paper
समय: 3 घंटे
अंक: 300
Paper II उम्मीदवार की चुनी गई engineering discipline के आधार पर होता है।
इस प्रकार Preliminary Examination का कुल weightage 500 marks का होता है।
Stage 2 – Engineering Services Main Examination
Preliminary Examination में निर्धारित qualifying standard पूरा करने वाले उम्मीदवारों को Main Examination के लिए बुलाया जाता है।
Main Examination में engineering discipline से संबंधित दो conventional type papers होते हैं।
प्रत्येक paper:
समय: 3 घंटे
अंक: 300
इस प्रकार Main Examination के कुल अंक 600 होते हैं।
Main Examination में उम्मीदवार को अपनी संबंधित engineering discipline के विषयों की गहन तैयारी करनी होती है।
Stage 3 – Personality Test/Interview
Main Examination में निर्धारित qualifying standard प्राप्त करने वाले उम्मीदवारों को Personality Test/Interview के लिए बुलाया जाता है।
Personality Test/Interview के कुल 200 marks होते हैं।
इस चरण में उम्मीदवार के leadership, initiative, intellectual curiosity, practical application, social qualities और integrity जैसे पहलुओं पर ध्यान दिया जाता है।
अंतिम ranking में Preliminary Examination, Main Examination और Personality Test/Interview के marks को निर्धारित नियमों के अनुसार शामिल किया जाता है।

Preliminary Examination objective type होता है और इसमें negative marking का प्रावधान है।
गलत उत्तर के लिए संबंधित प्रश्न के निर्धारित अंकों का एक-तिहाई (1/3) काटा जाता है। यदि उम्मीदवार किसी प्रश्न को खाली छोड़ देता है तो उस प्रश्न के लिए penalty नहीं होती। एक से अधिक विकल्प चुनने पर भी उत्तर को गलत माना जा सकता है और निर्धारित negative marking लागू होती है।

Engineering Discipline Syllabus
Paper-II उम्मीदवार की चुनी हुई engineering discipline पर आधारित होता है।
Civil Engineering
Civil Engineering candidates को Building Materials, Solid Mechanics, Structural Analysis, Steel Structures, Concrete and Masonry Structures, Construction Practice, Planning and Management जैसे topics की तैयारी करनी होती है।
Mechanical Engineering
Mechanical Engineering candidates को संबंधित core subjects जैसे thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, manufacturing, machine design और अन्य engineering topics की तैयारी करनी होती है।
Electrical Engineering
Electrical Engineering syllabus में electrical circuits, electrical machines, power systems, measurements, control systems, power electronics और संबंधित core engineering subjects शामिल होते हैं।
Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering
इस discipline में electronic devices, circuits, communication systems, signals, systems, digital electronics, networks और telecommunication से संबंधित topics महत्वपूर्ण होते हैं।

UPSC ESE 2027 के लिए कैसे करें तैयारी?
Engineering Services Examination का syllabus विस्तृत है, इसलिए preparation को व्यवस्थित तरीके से करना जरूरी है।
1. सबसे पहले पूरा syllabus देखें
तैयारी शुरू करने से पहले UPSC द्वारा जारी official syllabus को पढ़ें। इससे आपको पता चलेगा कि किन topics को पढ़ना है और किन विषयों पर ज्यादा ध्यान देना चाहिए।
2. Engineering Subjects की मजबूत तैयारी करें
Paper-II में 300 marks होते हैं। इसलिए अपनी core engineering discipline के fundamentals को मजबूत करना महत्वपूर्ण है।

3. General Studies और Engineering Aptitude को नजरअंदाज न करें

4. Previous Year Question Papers हल करें
पिछले वर्षों के प्रश्नपत्रों से examination pattern और प्रश्नों के स्तर को समझने में सहायता मिल सकती है।

5. Mock Tests दें
तैयारी के दौरान mock tests लगाने से speed और accuracy पर काम किया जा सकता है। खासकर negative marking होने के कारण केवल ज्यादा प्रश्न attempt करना ही पर्याप्त नहीं है।
6. Revision को नियमित रखें
Engineering की तैयारी में बहुत सारे formulas और concepts होते हैं। इसलिए weekly और monthly revision schedule बनाना उपयोगी हो सकता है।
UPSC ESE 2027 में आवेदन कैसे करें?
उम्मीदवारों को Engineering Services Examination 2027 के लिए केवल online mode में आवेदन करना है।
आवेदन के लिए UPSC का नया online application portal इस्तेमाल किया जाता है।

UPSC ESE 2027 Exam Centres
Preliminary Examination के लिए UPSC ने देश के कई शहरों में examination centres निर्धारित किए हैं।
इनमें Prayagraj, Lucknow, Varanasi, Agra, Bareilly, Gorakhpur, Ghaziabad, Delhi, Jaipur, Patna, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Chennai सहित कई शहर शामिल हैं।
उम्मीदवारों को centre selection करते समय सावधानी बरतनी चाहिए क्योंकि कुछ centres के लिए capacity limit लागू है और allotment first-apply-first-allot basis पर हो सकता है। इसलिए इच्छित centre पाने के लिए आवेदन जल्दी करना उपयोगी हो सकता है।
UPSC ESE 2027 में किन बातों का रखें ध्यान?
आवेदन करते समय उम्मीदवारों को अपनी Date of Birth, educational qualification, category, photograph और signature की जानकारी सावधानी से भरनी चाहिए।
UPSC के अनुसार application submit होने के बाद सामान्य रूप से उसमें बदलाव की सुविधा उपलब्ध नहीं होती। इसलिए final submission से पहले सभी details को अच्छी तरह check करना चाहिए।
परीक्षा के दौरान mobile phone, smartwatch, Bluetooth device, camera और अन्य प्रतिबंधित electronic devices ले जाना prohibited है। OMR answer sheet में answers भरने के लिए black ball pen का उपयोग करना होता है।
UPSC ने यह भी बताया है कि examination venue पर candidates के लिए face authentication अनिवार्य होगा।
